Goal:

Gain the knowledge, confidence and skills to provide the Prevention Plus Wellness (PPW) program with fidelity, quality and efficacy.

Objectives:

1) Describe the theory and research underpinning Prevention Plus Wellness (PPW) programs. (Core knowledge)

2) Explain the critical need for brief, integrated interventions integrating substance use prevention AND healthy lifestyle behavior promotion. (Core knowledge)

3) Decide how you currently plan to implement the PPW program.

4) List the steps needed to be taken before presenting the program to prepare for implementation. 

5) Review and as needed practice providing the group lesson script.

6) Review and as needed practice providing the individual/one-on-one lesson script.

7) Review and practice providing the goal plan/contract.

8) Review the reproducible materials needed when implementing the program.

9) Review the reproducible materials used in evaluating the quality, fidelity and outcomes of the program.

10) Describe potential challenges and solutions to providing the PPW program in your setting.

11) Evaluate the training course.
